Celery Peanut Butter Supernova

Daily at 1, Tikidom gifted an impressive afternoon meal fit for a three year old.

At the behest of our resident dancing Celery Dragon, Tikidom proudly offered up platter upon platter of celery peanut butter snacks. We had on hand several gallons of peanut butter of both chunky and creamy denominations, a veritable forest of celery, and a variety of creative extras, including raisins, bacon bits, bac-o-bits, and sesame seeds. Later in the week we were awarded a few other treasured toppings by thankful patrons, though we kept these to ourselves - both for our sake and for the Nevada Board of Health.

Burners were invited to lounge in the shade of our ABS dome, participate in the drum circle, or wander back out into the world - refreshed and nutritioned.

The Dome

2004 marked the unveiling of what will certainly become a lifetime member of Tikidom: our own dome! Designed and built by m ("mm") with the help of Paul and Jen, the dome is a 23.4 foot diameter 3V structure homebuilt out of black ABS pipe and a few pounds of nuts and bolts. It stands about 9 feet at the center, from which it descends on a sharp curve into the surrounding base. In 2004 we covered it with a custom sewn set of panels. By week's end we had gotten to know the beast a little better and covered other parts of it with makeshift collages of blankets and carpet.

Yoga

Resident Yogi Jen guided a daily morning "Spirited Yoga" session in the shade of the dome. It wasn't long before Jen's expert guidance inspired Burners anxious for her instruction to overburden the dome - and they spilled willingly into the outlying areas, taking up the shaded area against cars and vans where they could only barely still here their Yogi.
