Who We Are

Tikidom is a Burning Man group active since 2002ish. In the default world our members design houses, instruct Yoga, write prescriptions, design industrial tools, run websites, shoot film, further the Democratic agenda, and engage in a number of other sad activities all too free of corrosive alkali dust.

Tikidom began, by most accounts, when the original Tikis conspired with friend and campmate Marty to man the Rolling Tiki Bar (RTB) for Burning Man 2002. The event was such a success that we decided to make the rag-tag group marraige official with a proper name. After a heated internal vote, we chose "Tikidom", which sounds a bit like "Tiki Kingdom" if you try to say it really fast with an hermaphroditic pineapple in your mouth.

All of our jokes are awkwardly inside.

Tikidom continues to attend Burning Man every year. Members come and go, but they mostly come. They bring their performance art ideas to the table and we collectively help to make them happen.
